What are Turnip Drivers?
By default, Android smartphones use proprietary GPU drivers provided by the manufacturer (Qualcomm). While these drivers are great for mobile games like PUBG or Call of Duty Mobile, they are absolutely terrible for PC emulation.
Mesa Turnip Drivers are open-source Vulkan drivers specifically engineered by the community for Adreno GPUs. When playing Windows games on Android via GameHub Lite or Winlator, the emulator relies on DXVK to translate DirectX graphics to Vulkan. Turnip drivers handle these Vulkan instructions drastically better than default Android drivers, resulting in massive FPS boosts and fixing missing textures.
